Slimebert — Slime Anomaly Guide
Slimebert slime anomaly in Animal Hospital: Hazmat shift spawn, digestion attack, Fire Extinguisher stun, Sanity loss, and co-op counters.

What Is Slimebert
Slimebert is a large green slime anomaly roaming hospital hallways during The Hazmat Team Arrives special shifts added July 25, 2026. Unlike Skinwalkers from admitted check-in failures, Slimebert spawns as event-specific environmental-combat hybrid — slow movement but instant digestion grab on contact.
Slimebert cannot be killed with Gun or Taser. Fire Extinguisher spray stuns roughly five seconds — primary counter repeated across GosuGamers and Sportskeeda guides. Stunned window lets runners pass blocked corridors.
See events/hazmat for full shift context and characters/sam for post-event cleanup hire.
Spawn and Movement
Slimebert appears when green slime contamination and fog announce Hazmat event — commonly Shifts 11–17 community range. Ignores Hazmat NPC cleaners, hunts players and legitimate patients in path.
Does not chase across entire map — patrols lanes near slime pools. Still deadly if runner carries fainting patient into digestion range.
Leaves additional slime residue after passes — stacks with event floor hazards slowing team.
Digestion Attack and Sanity
Contact triggers mouth grab chew animation — victim loses fifteen or more Sanity labeled Digested before spit-out. Multiple grabs in one Shift can zero Sanity even with Coffee stock.
Patients eaten hurt score and event timers — protect stabilized beds during Slimebert patrol announcements.
Spectator mode from August update applies if digestion contributes to team wipe — reconnect if disconnect separate issue.
Fire Extinguisher Counter
Grab wall mount near Shopkeeper Nurse or play Firefighter class with rechargeable personal extinguisher — 1,100 Animal Coins unlock. Aim spray at Slimebert body, hold until stun animation, move past during five-second window.
Chain stuns with co-op callouts: Safety stuns, Runner crosses, Desk never leaves Shutter. Do not waste Taser cooldown.
Restock extinguisher charges between Hazmat nights if event repeats next session.
Co-op Callouts
Camera operator tracks Slimebert lane — voice Slimebert bridge left before runner commits. Desk delays admits if digestion blocks return path from treatment wing.
Priority ladder: fainting timer beats slime stun unless digestion blocks only route to bed.
After event ends, hire Sam if economy allows — reduces leftover slime mop time.

Practical note for enemies/slimebert (tip 1): before ending a Shift, confirm every patient in the rooms related to this guide is either discharged or still recovering on a bed. Leaving a half-treated case unresolved bleeds Shift score and makes the next Shift harder because your team starts with lower Sanity and fewer Animal Coins for Coffee.
